What are the key benefits of obtaining a Cyber Essentials certificate?

  • Reduces your chances of being a victim of cyber threats: By implementing the security controls required for Cyber Essentials certification, your practice becomes less vulnerable to cyber threats. This reduces the likelihood of experiencing a data breach or other cybersecurity incidents, providing peace of mind to both you and your clients.
  • Improves your reputation: By having the certificate, it showcases your commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
  • Displays a commitment to safeguarding sensitive information: It signifies that your practice takes the protection of sensitive information seriously. This can be especially important for criminal and family law practices that handle very confidential and sensitive client data.
  • Insurance Cover: Insurance Cover: £25,000 Cyber Insurance Policy.

What’s the difference in Cyber Essentials & Cyber Essentials Plus?

The Cyber Essentials certification is a self-assessment process that involves completing a questionnaire and having your answers verified by an external certifying body. The Cyber Essentials Plus certification involves an external assessment of your cyber security measures.
