Chambers is seeking a confident and proactive Credit Controller. Reporting to the Fees Clerk Manager, this role sits at the centre of Chambers’ financial operations, working closely with Members, clerking teams, senior management and clients. You will take ownership of aged debt recovery, driving agreed strategies, producing clear monthly and ad hoc reports, managing large firm accounts and ensuring best-in-class billing and credit control practices are consistently applied.

In addition, you will support the wider fees function as required, including maintaining accurate financial records, responding to credit control queries, managing the full fees lifecycle, assisting with the monthly bill run and covering invoicing, receipting and payment processing. 

Applications are sought from candidates with fees, finance or clerking experience, ideally from a fast-paced legal or chambers environment, who is highly numerate, detail-focused, confident in Excel and able to build strong relationships while delivering results with pace and professionalism.
