Our History

Since our formation in 2012, we have hit key milestones that have contributed to our growth and laid the foundations for our future success.

2012 Founded in 2012 by Orlagh Kelly, who was a practicing barrister at the time. Orlagh aimed to spearhead innovative solutions in the legal industry by creating Briefed and entering the world of legal tech and data security.

2017 In 2017, the introduction of GDPR presented an opportunity for us to assist businesses and organisations in the legal industry in fulfilling their GDPR obligations. We quickly gained recognition for our expertise in this field by offering tailored consultation advisory services and innovative training solutions.

2020 Recognising the evolving needs of our customers, we expanded our product portfolio in 2020 to provide high-quality training that became relevant and useful to both businesses and the legal sector. Currently, we offer more than 30 training modules covering various areas of expertise and skills.

2022 In 2022, we launched the Honesty Box initiative. A mission dedicated to helping charities safeguard their data at an affordable cost. This commitment not only helped us establish a strong reputation but also allowed us to form meaningful relationships with individuals and organisations alike.

2023 With the increasing popularity of eLearning and the general lifeless quality of training solutions at the time, we made a substantial investment in our learning platform to ensure that our content is always engaging, exciting and interactive.

2024 The GetBriefed Podcast was launched to give our audience an accessible, insightful way to stay current and lead the conversation in the Bar industry.
