About Briefed

The compliance partner built for the Bar.

Briefed is not a generic compliance consultancy that has adapted its offer for the legal market. We are experienced barristers — and everything we produce is built from the inside out, for a profession we know well.

The difference

What sets Briefed apart.

We are barristers
Our team includes experienced barristers who previously practised at the Bar and now work in-house at Briefed. The advice and training we produce is grounded in how chambers actually operate.
Built for the Bar, not adapted for it
Every policy, every module, every piece of advice is written specifically for chambers. We have never taken a corporate compliance product and lightened the language to fit.
Market intelligence across 150+ chambers
With 150+ sets on our books we benchmark your compliance against sets of similar size and practice profile. That context — what most sets do well, where they tend to fall short — is built over years of this work.
Founder
Orlagh Kelly

Founded by a barrister who saw the gap.

Orlagh Kelly is a barrister who founded Briefed in 2011 after recognising that chambers faced a growing compliance burden and had nowhere practical to turn. The solutions on the market were generic, expensive, or both. So she built something specifically for the Bar.

Fifteen years later, Briefed works with 150+ sets and has trained more than 16,000 barristers and chambers professionals. Orlagh remains closely involved in the strategic direction of the business and in how we advise the profession.
