"Are you practising as a barrister yet, Mass?" - A Resilient Journey Back to the Bar with Mass Ndow-Njie

Duration: 48 mins

In this episode, Orlagh is joined by practicing barrister and founder of Bridging the Bar, Mass Ndow-Njie.

Mass' passion for law was sparked from a very early age, and his goal in life was set - to become a barrister.

Mass' goal, however, was dependent on one thing in his mind - he had to attend either Oxford or Cambridge to have the best chance of making this become a reality.

After applying and interviewing for Mansfield College and just missing out on a place, Mass believed, in that moment, that his dream of the Bar had died.

In this conversation, he details how he was driven to find an alternative route to the Bar, his inspiration and vision in setting up Bridging the Bar, and how continued support from his childhood brought him a fruitful career in law.

Mass and Bridging the Bar continue to do incredible work for the industry, focusing on increasing the equality of access to opportunities in the legal profession across all underrepresented groups.
