Understand the principles of fair recruitment and why they are essential within chambers. This module covers best practices for inclusive hiring, how to identify and reduce discrimination in the recruitment process, and how to use different interview formats and techniques to ensure a fair, effective, and merit-based selection. *This training is a mandatory requirement by the Bar Standards Board

The Bar Standards Board have set down clear expectations on chambers regarding the equal distribution of unassigned work amongst their barristers, so that everyone has a fair opportunity to advance their career. This module will help chambers leaders gain an insight into how fair work allocation can be achieved, the challenges they may encounter in setting up a process and provides practical steps to help them develop an approach that best suits chambers and members.
