Consistency is key
As ambitious growth plans are actioned, it is essential that everyone with access to client information receives consistent, streamlined online training. Particularly in regard to the Chambers’ GDPR responsibilities. Data breaches and mistakes will put the firm and its ongoing success at considerable risk.
So, to ensure that such obligations were fulfilled, Chambers Director Vincent Denham sought a training programme that provided time-poor barristers with consistency and simplicity.
“For a large, busy successful set of barristers, asking them to figure out how to do all [the training] themselves can add an additional burden,” says Vincent. “And this could lead to gaps in individual compliance training – which would then leave the Chambers exposed to risk.”
Keep it simple
Briefed were approached by Vincent through recommendation. A trusted training provider whose offering chimed with the ethos of 42BR Barristers.
Key criteria for training was simplicity. Chambers required a simple and straightforward online programme that would cover all bases. Enabling them to evidence to the regulator that compliance is fully adhered to with regard to security and GDPR.
“The way in which we deliver our product is different,” says Vincent. ‘We’ve got a good clerks’ team, a good admin process, and our barrister community is full of genuinely nice people. We wanted someone similar.”
